Privacy policy
Queux connects content creators with appointment setters who work their Instagram and Facebook messages. That means we handle private conversations, payment details and business data on behalf of both sides. This policy sets out what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
1. Who we are
Queux (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the platform at queux.io and app.queux.io. By using Queux you agree to the collection and use of information in line with this policy.
For any privacy question, or to exercise any right described below, contact privacy@queux.io.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Account information — name, email address, profile photo, and whether you are a creator or a setter.
- Profile information — bio, location, timezone, experience, niche categories, and the performance record shown on your marketplace profile.
- Payment information — Stripe Connect account details used to process payouts. Queux does not store full bank or card numbers; Stripe holds those.
- Communication data — messages sent through the platform between creators and setters, and notes recorded against leads.
2.2 Information from services you connect
- Instagram and Facebook (Meta) — when you connect an Instagram professional account or a Facebook Page, we access the account or Page name and profile information, direct messages sent to and from it, and comments on your posts. We access this only for accounts you explicitly connect, and only while they remain connected.
- Google Calendar — when you connect Google Calendar we access your events and availability so appointments can be booked, and we may create events on your behalf.
- Clerk — authentication is handled by Clerk, which processes login credentials and session tokens.
- Stripe — payment and payout processing, including the identity verification a setter completes before receiving money.
2.3 Information collected automatically
- Device information and browser type
- IP address and approximate location
- Usage data and interactions with the platform
- Cookies and similar technologies
3. How we use your information
We use what we collect to:
- Provide, operate and maintain the platform
- Display your Instagram and Facebook conversations in your Queux inbox, and send the replies you or your authorised setters compose
- Match leads, bookings and sales to the setter responsible, and calculate the commission owed
- Process payouts and send related records — invoices, receipts and commission statements
- Connect creators with setters through the marketplace
- Schedule and manage calendar appointments
- Send notifications about account activity, new messages and opportunities
- Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse and technical faults
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Instagram and Facebook data
This section applies specifically to data obtained through Meta’s platforms.
- Messages. We read and store direct messages so they can be shown in your Queux inbox and answered by you or by setters you have authorised. History is retained so that attribution works across a conversation rather than a single reply.
- Comments. Where you have granted the relevant permissions, we read comments on your posts and may reply to them or open a direct message in response.
- Profile information. We access the connected account or Page name and photo to identify it inside Queux.
- Sending. Messages composed in Queux are sent through Meta’s APIs from the connected account.
We do not sell Meta data, and we do not use it for advertising. It is shared only with the setters a creator has explicitly added to their team, and only for the accounts that creator has connected. Disconnecting an account in Settings stops all further access immediately; to have stored message data deleted, email privacy@queux.io.
Use of these integrations is also governed by Meta’s own terms and policies.
5. Sharing and disclosure
- Between creators and setters. Profile information, conversations and the business data needed to work a lead are shared between a creator and the setters on their team. A setter’s performance record is visible to creators in the marketplace.
- Service providers. Stripe (payments and payouts), Supabase (database), Clerk (authentication), Resend (email) and Vercel (hosting) process data on our behalf.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law or in response to a valid legal request.
- Business transfers. In a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Some records are kept longer where the law requires it or where there is a legitimate business need — commission and payout records, for example, are retained for tax and dispute purposes.
You can request deletion of your account and its data by emailing privacy@queux.io. Some data may be retained in anonymised form for analytics.
7. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption of sensitive data in transit and at rest, authentication through Clerk, and access controls limiting who can see what.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected
- Deletion — request that your data be deleted
- Portability — request transfer of your data
- Opt out — unsubscribe from marketing communications
- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for processing, including by disconnecting a linked account
To exercise any of these, email privacy@queux.io.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as your colour theme, and understand how the platform is used. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though parts of the platform may stop working.
10. Children
Queux is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page with a revised “last updated” date, and material changes will be notified to account holders by email.
